Fungal Kinship Collective
a community-based affinity group for underrepresented folks who want to share mycological knowledge and skills
I started the Fungal Kinship Collective in January 2023 to bring together the young, queer, femme, working class, disabled, and people of color in my community to participate in open and accessible conversations and activities related to fungi. We welcome any and all participants to suggest ideas for discussion topics and modes of exploration; we are a leader-full group with no hierarchy whatsoever. As a collective, we value the following:
Accessibility
Mutual Aid/Symbiosis
Racial, Environmental, Economic, & Gender Justice
Education
Respect & Relationship with the Land
Healing
Safety
Diversity
Connection
Joy & Play
We meet on a semi-regular basis, locally in Colorado Springs. If you are interested in joining us, fill out the contact form below, and we will send you an invite link to our group chat!
